Sanipex Group is a progressive, forward thinking organisation which recognises and acknowledges its environmental impact and has set out the following policy to reduce the effects of its actions.
Sanipex Group is a distributor and retailer of Plumbing and Sanitaryware materials. We will use the principles of reduce, re-use, recycle through the entirety of our business.
As an organisation
We will comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and statutory environmental requirements. Prevent source of pollution and demonstrate continual environmental performance. We will communicate this Environmental Policy and importance of Environment Management System to employees, contractors, and suppliers to ensure their awareness of our commitment to the environment. We will provide appropriate training to all employees to ensure their continuing awareness of environmental responsibilities.
In our Logistics Centres
We will use packaging materials sparingly and consciously and promote the re-use of pallets, cartons, wrapping, etc. and the careful removal of such items from the point of origin in order that we can recycle these materials.
In our Offices
We will turn off lights when we are not in rooms, we will minimise use of air conditioning and heating to only when necessary. We will only print necessary documents and wherever possible when doing so we will print on recycled paper. We will use the natural resources of water and electricity in an efficient and sparing manner.
We will aim to work with ISO 14001:2004 certified suppliers.
We will seek and promote from our suppliers products that are manufactured in an environmentally manner, using re-cycled materials where appropriate.
We will actively promote products that have water saving features such as dual flush systems, automatic mixer taps, self-closing valves etc.
We will work closely with our manufacturers and suppliers to assist in the development of new products that will provide environmentally friendly benefits.
